Privacy Policy

Scope
This Privacy Policy describes how BnC Software, LLC ("BnC", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use NNS Pro and related services. It applies to the NNS Pro website, mobile applications, and support interactions connected to those products.
Information We Collect
We collect account and registration data (such as display name, email address, and password stored only in hashed/encrypted form), user-generated content (including charts, annotations, labels, and metadata), usage and analytics data, technical/device data (including IP address, app diagnostics, locale, and clickstream metadata), and communications you send to support. If paid transactions are enabled, payment credentials are processed by third-party processors and we retain only transaction metadata such as amount, date, status, and product identifier.
How We Collect Information
We collect information directly from you when you register, create content, or contact support; automatically through cookies, web beacons, local storage, and similar technologies as you use NNS Pro; and from trusted service providers involved in authentication, analytics, hosting, and payment processing.
How We Use Information
We use collected information to deliver and maintain NNS Pro features, sync charts and setlists across devices, improve reliability and performance, provide support, send administrative/security notices, detect and prevent abuse or fraud, enforce our agreements, and comply with legal obligations.
Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with trusted service providers (for hosting, authentication, analytics, support delivery, and payment processing), where required by law or valid legal process, to protect rights and safety, in connection with a merger or asset transfer where legally permitted, or for other purposes with your explicit consent.
Chart Sharing Program Privacy
If you opt into the optional Chart Sharing Program, your chosen display name and charts you explicitly mark as shared may be visible to other opted-in users. Your email address and private charts are not shared through this feature. Participation is voluntary, and you may opt out and remove shared charts at any time. Removal applies prospectively; prior user-side copies or caches cannot be retroactively removed. BnC does not endorse or guarantee user-shared chart accuracy and may review or remove shared content reported as infringing, harmful, or policy-violating.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies (including web beacons, pixels, and local storage) for session continuity, saved preferences, analytics, and security controls. You may manage cookies through browser/device settings, but disabling certain cookies can reduce functionality. We do not sell personal data or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Third-Party Services
NNS Pro may connect to third-party services including Firebase/Google Cloud, media platforms such as YouTube, app stores, and payment processors. These services have their own privacy terms and policies that govern data they receive. If our properties link to external websites, we are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third-party sites.
Data Retention
We retain account and content data for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal, security, and contractual obligations. Upon account deletion, personal data is deleted or anonymized within 30 days unless longer retention is required by law, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, or records obligations. Financial transaction records, where applicable, may be retained for at least seven years. De-identified aggregate analytics may be retained without time limit.
Data Security
We apply administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS), encryption at rest where supported, access controls, environment security rules, password hashing, and least-privilege access practices. No system is perfectly secure, and while we use commercially reasonable safeguards, use of the service remains at your own risk.
Children's Privacy
NNS Pro is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If a parent or guardian believes a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will investigate and delete such information where appropriate. The Chart Sharing Program is intended for users at least 16 years old.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, or object to processing of personal information, and to withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis. California residents may have CCPA/CPRA rights, including rights to know, delete, correct, request limits on use of sensitive information, and non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights. To exercise rights, contact support@bnc-software.com; we may verify identity before processing and generally respond within 30 days.
Legal Basis (EEA/UK/Switzerland)
Where applicable, processing is based on contractual necessity, legitimate interests, consent, and legal obligations as required for operation and compliance. You may withdraw consent for consent-based processing at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.
International Processing
Your information may be processed in jurisdictions other than your own where our service providers operate. We implement reasonable safeguards for cross-border data transfers and rely on recognized transfer mechanisms, including standard contractual terms where required by law.
Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If material changes are made, we will update the effective date and post the revised policy on this page. Where appropriate, we may provide additional notice (including in-app or email notice) at least 14 days before material changes become effective.
